What Type of Entrepreneur are You?

Did you have a lemonade stand as a kid? Then you’re probably the “visionary” of the Four Entrepreneur Archetypes.

Everyone has the potential to create a thriving business of their own–they just need to identify and nurture their zone of genius. Knowing which of the Four Entrepreneur Archetypes you are can help you realize what you need to find self-made success.

Here’s a breakdown of each archetype and the obvious qualities:

Visionaries

These people live on their own terms because they feel there’s no other way to be. They have an innate ability to problem solve, think outside the box and move quickly to bring ideas to life.

They never quite fit into the corporate world because they feel called to build something out of nothing and do things differently. They recognize their potential and don’t let perceived limitations stop them from pursuing their dreams.

Entrepreneurs tend to see money as a way to validate their ideas, a score-keeping tool for success and a necessary component for the continued growth they seek.

Teacher

These are authority figures people turn to when they need unbiased knowledge. These types are motivated to know everything they can about something and distill that information into real, relatable insight for their audience. People trust the teacher’s well-researched input and often regard them as thought leaders.

Teachers are motivated to change people’s lives by sharing knowledge in an easily digestible way. They enjoy giving their audience the information they need to process and make decisions independently rather than offering emotional support.

These types see money as validation for their time spent educating themselves and a tool to fund ongoing learning. They believe more education equals more money.

Coach

Coaches are the most service-oriented out of the four archetypes. They crave deep human-to-human connection and love to shepherd others through transformation. Their main goal is to provide clients with a clear end result, helping however they can along the way. They have a solid ability to see the potential in other people.

Coaches find success more easily through referrals of past clients than marketing themselves because they would rather spend time shining the spotlight on others. They love to build their interpersonal skills to become the most masterful one-on-one coach they can be.

Coaches see money as a way to work and spend more time with their preferred clients, fund their education, and have space to fill their cups to be of better service.

Creator

Creators love to be in their flow. They enjoy sitting down with themselves, receiving downloads of exciting ideas, and letting them release how they feel channeled into the world. This can be through YouTube videos, podcasts, social media content or landing pages. They believe a highly engaged and entertained audience will drive the most revenue, and the right people will engage with the truest expression of themselves.

They are highly driven by authenticity and can feel bogged down by logistics, numbers and marketing in ways that don’t feel like “them.” They thrive when they capitalize on their uniqueness in their branding and content. It’s not so much what they offer but how they offer it.

Creators see money as a way to validate their sense of self and fund their lifestyle and creative process.
