5 Things You Need to Be a Successful Network Marketer

Type in any business-related hashtag on Instagram, and you’ll find dozens of people finding six- and seven-figure success as network marketers. Most of their stories are the same: They led unfilling lives with capped incomes and little work-life balance until they started selling for themselves. You can be a highly successful network marketer, too, and I can even help you build your online business.

However, it’s not enough to have the desire. You must also lean into specific skills and processes, especially to stand out in a sea of other online entrepreneurs. And you can. As someone who has done it myself, I’m sharing five things you need to build and consistently work on to create success online as a network marketer.

1. Mindset

It’s step one for a reason. To have a gratifying business and life, you must move past self-sabotage and limiting beliefs. Otherwise, fear of uncertainty will keep you stagnant. Mindset is so important that I dedicated an entire blog post on how to let go of limiting beliefs and find success in business.

2. Skillset

The initial excitement over running a business is not enough to fuel you for the long haul. So, you need proper training to learn and develop skills to move forward and make progress. Look for mentors who have been there, done that, and can guide you through with their experience. (Like me!)

3.Life Optimization

Being your own boss means you have to discipline yourself. Yes, network marketing can afford you a flexible, rewarding lifestyle, but only if you manage your time well. You must learn how to optimize your time and money to create more of it. Here are eight tips on how to be more productive when you’re working from home

4. Business Optimization

You can’t just be disciplined–you must also be organized. Putting systems and processes into place will help you make consistent progress. Keep your billing and accounting information up-to-date; label your client list, so you know when, why and how to contact them; and set regular time aside for content creation and marketing. Thankfully, there are lots of apps these days that can help simplify these processes.

5. Legacy and Wealth

Decide what type of legacy you want to build with your money so you can create the steps to get there. If you’re used to a fixed income, you may not know what to do with excess funds. Work on your relationship with money and find more ways to let it grow so you can enjoy security and a life well-lived.
